“We do well always and everywhere to give You thanks”

I saw this powerful quote on twitter, and it was too thought provoking to keep to myself.

โ€œWhat if you woke up today with only the things you thanked God for yesterday?โ€ @Had2SayIt

This simple question has served as a great reminder to thank God unceasingly for the blessings in the life He gave me. Right now, I’m especially thankful for family. Last week I had a fun and relaxing vacation with my sweet husband. On the way home from our trip, we saw a rainbow that was so beautiful – a single vertical line in the sky unlike one we had ever seen. Last weekend my sister came to visit for a day of shopping at Ikea for her new apartment and catching up over some delicious Indian food.

Also, Mark and I bought a new fridge that was delivered on Saturday and my giant cups actually fit under the filtered water dispenser! (The little things matter, too, right?)

Upon returning to work on Monday, I was very thankful for a job that is both challenging and rewarding and allows me to work along side some of the smartest people I know.

What would you have today if you woke up with only the things you thanked God for yesterday? Your family? Friends? Your house? Your job?

Love this post Adri….will certainly make me rethink all my blessings I have in my life. I do thank God everyday for my six wonderful children and my amazing husband, but I truly have multiple blessings. Always good to be reminded of that!

  2. I absolutely forget to thank God for our blessings, which are too numerous to list here. I loved this entry. You being in my life is at the very top of that list. I love you so much. Thank you God ;).

  3. Six kids Mom?

I think that was my Mom and she may have been counting Cassie’s boyfriend, Phillip. He is practically like a son to her. ๐Ÿ˜‰
