My bangs are finally long enough to put up into a pony tail and tuck behind my ears! Any of you ladies that have grown out your bangs before know where I’m coming from here. Reaching this length is a milestone. So please ask me why I took one look at this picture of my husband and I from our anniversary this year and thought, ‘That forehead could really use some fringe.’
I’m seriously thinking about cutting them again. I just have two reservations.
Reservation #1) My sister is getting married in July, outside, and I’m standing up to the wedding. I’m nervous if I have bangs they will get all stringy and gross from the heat and look blah in pictures.
Reservation #2) I have this grand plan to get bangs as soon as I get old enough that my forehead starts getting wrinkly. To cover up the wrinkles obviously. Then I imagine I’ll probably keep them until I’m very old – because hey, those wrinkles won’t be going anywhere once they arrive. So I just keep thinking I should enjoy my wrinkle free forehead out in the open while I can.
Which is so bizarre because I’ve never really been worried about wrinkles before. And my Mom doesn’t have a wrinkly forehead yet, so that definitely gives me some time. Come to think of it, my Grandma doesn’t really have a wrinkled forehead either.
Someone talk me off this ledge. Bangs – Yes or No? My haircut is hopefully happening this coming week. Here is a picture of me with bangs, if that helps. (I’m skinnier in this picture, so don’t let that sway your opinion either way. LOL)
My Mom sent me an awesome picture of my little sister. She learned to ride her bicycle without any training wheels, and a member of our family captured an amazing picture right as she did it for the first time.
I seriously can’t stop looking at it. Brings me so much joy to see the happiness on her face. The sense of accomplishment. I just want to reach through the computer and kiss those cute little cheeks and give her a big hug of congratulations. I think the photo is just begging to be a meme. What caption would you add to it? (Keep ’em nice, this is my baby sister!)
I read lots of blogs in my spare time, and many of them are written by women who inspire me and challenge me to grow as a Catholic, a woman, and a wife. One such woman is Dwija from House Unseen Life Unscripted. Today, she shared an update about a tough situation related to her unborn baby, and though I’ve never met her or even talked to her, my heart is breaking for her. Please join me in praying really hard for her, her baby, and the rest of her family.
We finished watching Battlestar Galactica last week. I was a little disappointed because there were lots of loose ends. If you’ve watched the series, what did you think? I still think it was worth watching because we enjoyed the rest of the series so much. The finale just left me unsatisfied. I like closure, where the writers tell you exactly what happened and answer all of your unanswered questions. That did not happen here.

I was watching The Bachelorette (spare me the lecture about what a bad/lame choice that is) and one of the contestants asked the bachelorette if he could kiss her. I understand that he was trying to be respectful of her and polite, but I think it is so unromantic. I think when you are on a date with a guy, he should just go for it if he wants to kiss you. Ladies, what do you think? Is asking a mood killer or the right thing to do?

I’m torn on the bangs. You look great both ways! Maybe if you’re not sure wait? Because once you cut them it takes forever to go back but if you decide a month later you actually do want bangs that’s not problem!
That picture is amazing. It just makes me smile nonstop!
That is a good idea! I think I’ll wait until after the wedding to make a decision about the bangs.
Ok, here’s what I’m thinking. Razor cut bob, swide-swept bangs, and a red lip.
That cut sounds awesome, but you know I’m too much of a chicken to do a red lip! Haha.
