I’ve never been able to comfortably wear flat shoes. Every pair I’ve ever tried on has given me blisters, rubbed my heels raw or squeezed the life out of my toes. (I’m so high maintenance, right?)
Anyway, chances are, if I’ve seen you in a cute pair of flats, I’ve complimented you on them and lamented about how I wish my feet could be so fashionable.
My sisters recently encouraged me to update my wardrobe with skinny jeans, so I’ve been wearing them with tall brown boots, but not having flats was limiting my outfit choices.

Last weekend, I decided to try yet again. After bracing myself for disappointment and trying on 45+ pairs of flats over the course of two hours, I purchased some (shockingly) comfortable and cute flats. They are black leather and perfectly hug my heels without cutting off the circulation to my toes.
The first day I wore them, I ended up walking from Union Station to the House of Blues downtown Chicago for a work event, which was about 2 miles considering I may have taken a wrong turn or two. I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable they were traipsing across the uneven city sidewalks. No blisters or scrapes to be found, which is more than I can say for what condition my feet would be in had I worn my favorite heels.
Anyway, these flats are awesome. So much so that I spent my lunch hour writing about them. LOL.
On a completely unrelated note, Mark comes home from his business trip today and “could I BE more excited??” (Say that in the Chandler voice from Friends.) I’ve missed him like crazy!!!
Have a great Friday and a happy weekend!
