Last week I had my 2nd annual scarf exchange party. I first heard about the party concept from Shay’s blog over at Mix & Match Mama, and I’m so glad I did!
I skipped hosting it in 2017 because we were in the midst of moving, but was really excited to bring it back this year. After I shared about the party on Instagram, a few people reached out asking me how it works, so I thought I’d spell it out here for easy reference.
The basic concept is a White Elephant gift exchange, but instead of random gifts, you give away one of your scarves. In addition to being a fun excuse to gather with your girlfriends, a scarf exchange is the perfect kick in the rear to take inventory of your scarf collection to see what you should give away, keep, etc. I know if I’m not intentional about it, things can linger in my closet for years without being worn.
I thought all the scarves exchanged this year were super cute. The one I ended up with is definitely my FAVORITE!

Candles used to be a constant in my home, but lately I’ve read about how toxic the fumes can be. I defaulted to diffusing essential oils only because so many of the higher quality (and allegedly less toxic) candles I found were too pricey.
A well-timed Instagram ad brought my attention to the Appalachian Candle Company. Their candles are made of organic soy and scented with essential oils.
I ordered the Mountain Apple Butter and Pumpkin Spice Latte scents. Both smell delightful, making them my next FAVORITE! So much so I can’t light them when I’m hungry. 😂
Bonus: A portion of the proceeds from every purchase goes to a book sharing program to promote literacy across the United States. #notanad

Do you like Samoas/Carmel deLite Girl Scout cookies? If so, you’re going to love my next FAVORITE. These Dark Chocolate Almond & Coconut KIND bars taste like that cookie, but better.
My husband finds good deals on these online. Get some! You won’t be disappointed. #alsonotanad

If you’re a Catholic parent, educator, or godparent, start following my next FAVORITE, Katie Bogner’s blog, Look to Him and Be Radiant. Katie is an amazing artist (Check out her Bible Journaling on instagram!) and a teacher at a Catholic school. She frequently offers free printable resources to help with faith formation on her blog.
This week, she shared a Lectio Divina graphic organizer. I’ve always wanted to try this method of prayer and her template makes it so much less intimidating! Right now she’s also hosting a giveaway for a cool card game for kids.
That wraps up my favorites for this week. What have you been into this week?
