Picture 12
The obvious:
Or maybe not so obvious…this is series of pictures of my four year old sister, Madison. She is upside down and has eyes and a nose drawn on her chin using brown eyeliner. She has her long blonde hair wrapped around her chin.
What you can’t see:
The rest of my family laughing hysterically as she talks. This activity is a perfect blend of funny and weird. People look so odd upside down and the eyeliner eyes and nose make the subject look like a creature from another world.
Mark and I were visiting Indy for the weekend and I was recording videos and taking pictures of her talking away while upside down. She spent most of the time talking about how her friend Bella is taller than she is. That, and her invisible friend, Nini, and her pink house.
Gabrielle and I also participated and drew eyes and a nose on our chins, but I’ll spare her (and me) the embarrassment of posting those pictures for the world to see.
How this picture makes me feel:
Happy. I had a blast being goofy with my little sisters and have really fond memories of my Mom doing this with me and my sister Cassie when we were little. Ah, memories!
