3 weird things that make me happy and thankful

I’m having a blah kind of day, so it’s time to write a post about some weird things for which I’m thankful.

#1

Right now, I’m feeling thankful that my husband lets me wear his clothes. No, I’m not wearing his pants and button down shirts to work. I’m talking about his giant socks. The man wears a size 13 shoe, compared to my lady size 8.5. His socks go up almost to my knees and they’re so fluffy and snuggly. Sometimes when I come home from work and put on my comfy clothes, I put on a pair of his socks and all is right with the world.

I’ve turned into a one-beer-buzz kind of gal. Adrienne circa 2005 would be laughing in disbelief if I told her I’d be cutting myself off after one beer because it made me sleepy and buzzed and I was too nervous to drive. But Adrienne in 2015? I’m thankful that I can unwind after a long day with a single beer. Less calories and less expensive!

I’m thankful for the way my Grandpa writes thank-you notes. He creates a note on his computer, prints out many copies, signs his name, and then puts the notes inside the thank-you cards. The man is a model of efficiency. It warms my heart, and even though I detest accumulating bits of paper, I always save his notes.

What weird (or maybe not-so-weird) things are you thankful for this week?
