Babies can’t even swallow pills

Recently I was in the pharmacy section of my local Walgreen’s shopping for baby aspirin. I browsed the aisle with the normal aspirin. I looked through the section specifically for babies. No “baby aspirin” to be found anywhere.

As I paced the aisles scanning each shelf, hoping maybe I just missed it the first time around, I kept thinking, ‘Babies can’t even swallow pills!’

I finally grew frustrated enough to ask the pharmacist for help. When I expressed my confusion about where the pills were and the logistics of babies swallowing pills, he snarkily pointed me to the pills and reminded me that they don’t put dog in hot dogs either.

Apparently “baby” means low dose. These are the kinds of things I think a 30 year old woman should know.

As I left the store with my baby aspirin in hand, I couldn’t help but laugh at the pharmacist’s response. Because who knows what they actually put in hot dogs?!? #mysterymeat
