Friday favorites vol. 7

We were in Chicago for work Sunday afternoon through late Wednesday night this week, so it feels great to be settled in at home after our travels.

Friday Favorites link-up with Erica, Andrea, and Narci below!

On our trip home from Chicago, we started listening to a new podcast and I think it’s going to quickly become a new FAVORITE. It’s called, “part-time genius” by HowStuffWorks. The episodes we listened to were about secrets of the Vatican and how Nickelodeon revolutionized television. My husband and I both grew up watching shows like Double Dare and The Secret World of Alex Mack, so the Nickelodeon episode really resonated with us.

It’s easy listening, nothing too controversial, overall enjoyable. Check it out!

Friends, if you’re weird about feet or dead skin, don’t read this one.

I decided to give the highly reviewed Dr. Pedicure foot peel a try. I don’t know what kind of crazy chemicals are in this thing and make no claims about it being safe/healthy, but it works like nothing else I’ve ever tried and is my next FAVORITE. In about a week after applying the treatment, the dead skin literally peeled off my heels to reveal baby soft, smooth skin! I’ll spare you the photo. 😉

My only complaint is my feet kept peeling for about 3 weeks, especially in odd places like the top of my feet and between my toes.

Matt Kearney’s CRAZYTALK album has been my jam lately. My FAVORITE songs on it are:

  • Memorized
  • Changes
  • Kings & Queens

Two more songs I can’t get enough of this summer:

  • Burning Man by Dierks Bentley
  • End Game by Taylor Swift featuring Ed Sheeran (That’s right, I said Taylor Swift!)

When Arwen first joined our family, I wondered if she would outgrow her love of cuddling. At 5 months, I’m pleased to say she’s still going strong.

Cuddling with my Mom and sister

How could this not be my FAVORITE?!? #ArwenTheSnuggly

What are some of your favs from this week?
