My favorite recipe this month came from a cookbook my Mom gave me back when I first got engaged. She took me to a bridal show in Lafayette, Indiana near Purdue University where I attended school at the time. The music department of a local high school was selling the Masterpieces from our Kitchen cookbook as a fundraiser.
We had lots of bananas that were overripe, so I went on the hunt for a recipe requiring lots of them. Hello, banana cake!
This banana cake was very good. I didn’t end up icing it, but if I make it again I will definitely do so using some cream cheese frosting.
