I met a guy at iPhoneDevCamp 3 last weekend with a tattoo of these video inputs. He is one of the co-founders of a new company that creates camera/video related hardware for the iPhone.
He was obviously incredibly into his career, enough to have it permanently inked on his body.
This made me wonder: how many people are that devoted to their careers? Is it just those that have translated their passions into something profitable as entrepreneurs? Or is this kind of commitment attainable for even the low man on the totem pole?
I change my mind about my long term career goals almost monthly, but there are a few aspects I’ll never abandon.
If I had a similar tattoo, mine would probably say something like, “Write” or “Communicate.” What would yours look like?

It’s so hard in the world of technology to put a permanent symbol to the career, as it is ever evolving.
If I had to, I would probably do a database symbol as that is probably around for a while.
