If we were having coffee, I’d tell you…

that I believe in the power of prayer. I saw on the news this morning that it looks like Syria accepted Russia’s weapons proposal. I don’t know how things will shake out with the civil war in Syria, but I definitely believe that Saturday’s prayer and fasting led by the Pope made a big impact on people’s hearts.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you the story about my youngest sister and the water tower. About how it broke my heart that her teacher wouldn’t pray with her, but about how proud I am of her for turning to the Lord with her troubles. I’d share that I think my parents are doing a great job raising her, and how thankful I am to be able to watch her (and all my sisters) grow up.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I’m so excited for today’s Apple press conference. [I’m actually watching it right now on my lunch and they just announced two new device types.]

I’m glued to my iPhone 4S for work (and pleasure), but the battery is terrible after 2 years of abuse from me. I use it so much; I’m surprised it has lasted this long! The good news is I’m going to upgrade as soon as the new devices are available. Now, to go with the 5S or 5C? I like the colors the 5C offers, but I’m drawn to the tech upgrades available in the 5S, too. The 5S is supposed to be 56 times as fast as the original iPhone! As an original iPhone owner, that is shocking, because I thought that was super fast at the time.

I’ll let you know what I pick and how awesome it is. šŸ™‚

If we were having coffee, I’d ask you if you have ever thought of evil as something glamorous because when our priest referred to it as such during the Rite of Baptism, it struck a chord with me.

  1. I totally forgot about the big reveal from Apple today! I’ll have to jump online and see what the new goodies are! I agree… the idea of evil being “glamourous” is a weird one… but then I think about how in vampire novels, the vamps always use the power of glamour to seduce their victims.

That is so true about the way vampires are portrayed! Since I was sucked into the Twilight books (I know, I know), I have a harder time thinking of vampires as evil, though whoever created the original concept clearly intended them to be.

My iPhone 5 is on second battery and I’m hoping they improve it
The glamour of evil is on every magazine stand in Jewel

Glad I’ll be skipping the 5 model, hearing that you’ve had trouble with the battery, Maryanne! My 4S battery was fine until the last few months.

Great point about magazines! Some of the pictures and articles are so evil it gives me chills, but they are also so attractive because of the models, etc.
